$octemberfirst: I blinked at this sign for a full minute. Where have I heard of a MOREPORK? Do I know someone who says MOREPORK? …OHHH. Hahaha. It’s from the DISCWORLD FANDOM ON TUMBLR. Taken at a bird sanctuary in Queenstown, New Zealand. I guess the Europeans thought this owl’s call sounded like it’s saying MOREPORK, which… okayyy. I thought the Maori name was closer: RURU. FACT: There is an owl in the Ankh-Morpork city crest FOR EXACTLY THAT REASON. \8D/ Also Rurus are adorable I am just saying.$
