• I hate that the Doctor did not take her concerns about being a black woman travelling into the past seriously.
• I hate that there are people who hate Martha Jones.
• I hate that Martha Jones and Rose Tyler did not get a scene where they’d pass the Bechdel test together.
• I hate that Martha Jones and Mickey Smith ended up married without the viewers seeing their relationship develop.
• I hate that Martha Jones did not become a permanent member of Torchwood in Cardiff.

With the Christmas special hot on our heels, and BBC America airing hour after hour of Doctor Who stuff, I think it’s finally time I shared my views- and present a levelheaded, honest evaluation- on Stephen Moffat as a writer, as a showrunner, and as a person in control of what has become a huge media franchise. This was attached to the thing I rebaggled before about Moffat, but then it spiralled out of control and now it is a separate thing.  Not spoilery, just ranty.

So I haven’t watched the new episode yet, because I am still staring into the crater left by Let’s Kill Hitler.  I’m done wondering if that would have been less dumb if I hadn’t been spoiled for it, because, no, in a show this old with this much dedication to continuity … fuck your shoehorning, you could do so much fucking better.

And I had so many things Saviored because I wanted to at least try to go into this episode unspoiled when I got there TAG YOUR SHIT so by and large I don’t know how anyone else reacted to Asylum of the Daleks, but at this point I cannot even be bothered. I cleared it all out and I don’t care anymore.
